Diving into the world of conversions can be a daunting task, especially if it’s your first time.

When Mr and Mrs G first got in touch, they wanted a conversion to suit their active lifestyle but didn’t know where to start, with this being their first campervan.
Working closely alongside Mike, we were able to run through the build options available to them, creating the perfect vehicle not only for weekend adventures, but the daily driving too!

“We’ve always loved skiing, but the price of accommodation has put us off recently” says Mrs G in passing conversation. Not initially realising the potential possibilities, fitting a Webasto diesel heater would allow for winter skiing trips to the alps! Combined with our complete internal insulation as standard, our Verso builds are more than capable of keeping occupants warm on the coldest of alpine evenings.

“Although we don’t have kids, they’re definitely something we want in the near future” the couple remark too “but we do want to keep this van for many years to come!”. Choosing to opt for a Storm Poptop, onboard sleeping space is doubled thanks to the addition of a secondary sleeping platform! Although currently still a family of two, opening the Poptop also makes kitchen tasks a pleasure for the meantime… in Mike’s own words; “doing the washing up is awful at the best of times, the last thing you want is to do it crouching down. Popping the roof gives increased standing height and improves the van’s daily usability tenfold”.

Voltronic equipment powers all of our Verso’s, with onboard Dometic appliances supplied by the solar panelled roof. Self-supported adventures? Hell yes!

It goes without saying, one of the best parts of building your own Verso is the final customisation options. Mr & Mrs G knew from the outset that they wanted a vibrant colour-scheme in their vehicle… “we love bold colours… could the top stitch and back splash match?”

Those returning to the NWCC blog will know, with Verso ANYTHING is possible! Settling on a gorgeous red backsplash with matching cherry top-stitch, the couple were delighted on collection day with the attention to detail in the OEM+ Audi RS-style hex stitch upholstery. Oh, and the best part? All of our bespoke upholstery is completed by our team of industry renowned experts, here in-house.

Having already completed a tour of the Lake District this autumn in their new Verso build, Mr & Mrs G have recently been in touch to tell us how delighted they’ve been with their new van.

Of course, their Eurotunnel is already booked in January for a 3 week skiing trip to La Clusaz!
