REIMO VTEC Elevating Roofs

The addition of an elevating roof can add much needed headroom for cooking and day to day Living or Camping within your vehicle, as well as extra space for sleeping; Transforming the T5 or T6 into a far more practical 4 berth van making the vehicle seem a lot more spacious.

Reimo Elevating Roofs:

The Reimo elevating roof can be fitted to the VW T5 or T6 Short Wheel Base (SWB) and Long Wheel Base (LWB) vehicle. The model for the SWB vehicle is the ‘VTEC‘. For the last 35 years Reimo have been pioneers in the development of elevating roofs and hightop roofs for the small van market. Constructed from the highest grade materials, Reimo elevating roofs have been proven to last the tests of time ensuring you that fitting a Reimo elevating roof to your vehicle is a decision that you won’t regret.


All of the roofs manufactured by Reimo have passed the strict German TUV testing and meet the latest EU regulations. These standards encompass the all of the different components from the strengthening frame to the hinges, gas struts and tenting material to ensure that the installation of a Reimo elevating roof doesn’t detract from the integrity and safety of the base vehicle.

With over 35 years of research and development Reimo elevating roofs are the highest quality elevating roofs available. Many companies have copied Reimo’s elevating roofs over the years but none have come close to matching the quality, strength and longevity that Reimo elevating roofs and renowned for. The strength and stability of the roofs come from a double skin GRP/fibreglass roof shell construction with a special aviation grade strengthening and insulation foam inner core. The insulation properties of the elevating roofs is increased further by the use of an ISOvelour internal lining material.

For piece of mind all the materials, including the tenting material, used in the construction of Reimo roofs meet the strict automotive industry fire retardancy safety standards.

Note: All Reimo elevating roofs should be elevated & closed when the rear Tailgate door is shut – Please DO NOT Open or Close you’re Elevating Roof when your Tailgate door is open as this can cause damage to the elevating roof especially when the vehicle is fitted with a genuine VW bike rack.
