Ash’s VW T6 TSI Caravelle LWB Conversion

Ash’s VW T6 TSI Caravelle LWB Conversion

Team NWCC were very excited to see our first TSI, with Ash’s VW T6 Highline Kombi arriving with us for a scheduled Caravelle conversion; The base vehicle alone had a huge spec, the deep black pearl LWB 204 PS 2.0 TDI BMT 7sp DSG ticked plenty of boxes when ordered at its owners chosen VW dealership. With practical upgrades to aid all passengers, an electric tailgate and twin power latching side doors, as well as heated driver and front passenger seats to keep the cab cosy and warm during those winter days.

The Caravelle conversion ensures that any passenger travels in the ultimate luxurious vehicle, this T6 conversion boasts complete luxury. Ash wanted a vehicle suitable not only as a daily driver but something that could be used on the rare occasion of any down time from his hectic work schedule. This T6 has had changes and enhancements made throughout the entire vehicle. The front cab transformation has been drastically improved with Alcantara detailing throughout the headlining including the factory sunroof and custom manufactured A pillars. Exchanging the door cards and lower dash to the genuine VW Caravelle parts completely changes the appearance within the cab.

With 2017 being the most demanding year for the Caravelle style conversion, its clear to see that this build allows for complete versatility and especially on a LWB chassis with the additional 400mm. To enhance the acoustics within the vehicle Ash opted to upgrade from the standard VW audio set up, replacing it with the Audison ‘AV’ VOCE 3-Way front speakers & tweeters located within the custom A pillars. Audison Prima 100mm speakers have been added to the rear, housed in the NWCC exclusive speaker pods. The phenomenal Audison AP4.9 bit 4-channel amplifier with DSP is neatly located within the 1st row passenger seat base offering an amazing level of set up which can easily be achieved with this affordable yet advanced tiny amp.

The look of this vehicle is now completely different with the interior conversion completed, however it still ensures the vehicle has that OEM appearance.
