The Porsche Crayon Grey Defender 90.
A huge build consisting of a calibration with several local professionals, including ASpray Bodyworks, Slug graphics and four car audio.
This 2005 SWB chassis rolled into us after it’s tuning upgrades and chassis treatment from Promec ready for a full interior and body strip down in preparation of its full colour change respray from the masters at ASpray Bodyworks.
The NWCC team got straight to work on the fun part, stripping the vehicle down as far as possible to enable ASpray to reach every surface both inside and out of this vehicle, removing all windows, doors. bonnet, roof, side panels and cutting out the bulkhead to replace with the body roll bar just one of the cool parts supplied to us from a very excited customer which consisted of a new Turbo, map sensor and updated Intercooler supplied by Alive Tuning where a stage 2 map has been applied to make full use of the updated turbo polished off with a 3″ straight through exhaust supplied by the one and only Demand Engineering who are at the forefront of British design and manufacture, the performance is kept under control with a full fox suspension system including springs also supplied by Alive Tuning, a Bilstein new steering damper is hidden by ORE’s signature steering guard paired with their bench mark designed rear wheel carrier, new billet hinges all round and billet door handles and window blocks really finish the fixtures supplied by Defender Upgrades off against the superb paint job.
Rolling the chassis out of the Newwave workshop just down the estate to ASpray for the guys to take over for the next six weeks, while the Body shop completed their magic, team NWCC got to work on the leather works to the Dashboard, seats, centre console, door cards, gaiter’s, sun visors, side panels cab carpets and the last piece of the puzzle, the steering wheel.
The leather chosen was from Martrim’s premium range allowing us to deliver a clean smooth Nappa interior both supple and user friendly. Combined with our onsite laser facilities we decided to integrate a unique design pattern into detailed areas of the leather works.

Some small fold up jump seats were installed into the rear with some slick Black Hexa Ply floor and arch panels machined and sealed with a marine style feel again providing unique design and durability. Upper side panels were machined integrating LED entry illumination and finished in the hardwearing Trunk liner.
Five boxes of Skinz sound kill have been installed into this vehicle from Headliner, floor, Cab area, door Skinz and wheel arch panels to help reduce the road noise transferring from the BFG tyres to the interior of the vehicle.
