The Chekroud’s VW T6 LWB Caravelle Conversion
It is always so rewarding when customers are willing to travel that little bit further to ensure they have their exact requirements met. When customers have to arrange travel which includes flights its that extra bit special. With this Scottish family flying down to NWCC during the summer to choose their conversion specification it became all the more rewarding for our team knowing that our conversions are located throughout the UK.
The LWB T6 is a rare vehicle through the NWCC workshop especially with the added edition of the SCA 192 elevating roof. Its a great base vehicle for the Caravelle style conversion as it adds the much needed extra length to the vehicle to enable comfortable seating and still allowing a sizeable boot space.
With 2017 being the most demanding year for the Caravelle style conversion, its clear to see that this build allows for complete versatility. You not only have a luxurious passenger carrier but by including facilities such as 240v hook up and under chassis leisure batteries the vehicle offers a solution for over night use and camping.
This vehicle has had a complete transformation in house at NWCC, arriving just 10 days ago a VW Panel van; Along with a full Caravelle interior conversion, upholstery re-trim and elevating roof, the team have fitted windows to both sides and the rear barn doors, allowing light to flood into the vehicle and making it that little easier whilst navigating about town. Returning to Scotland the Chekrouds’ will have a happy return journey just in time for Christmas!
