A local family to us here at NWCC; The Davey family were looking for ways to enjoy down-time / weekends away from their busy family run business, with their children and young grandchildren. Spending a few months searching for the ideal base vehicle, a VW T6 (SWB) factory Kombi in deep black pearl, the Davey’s build began in June 2017.

With a dark exterior colouring the aim was to lighten the interior as much as possible, still wanting a warm and cosy feel within the vehicle. The colouring of the Dark Tan AutoCalf upholstery upgrade chosen by the Davey’s, with a contrasting cotton stitch provided exactly this. The interior build represents perfectly NWCC’s 2017 specification Traditional ‘Lux Conversion’, with additions such as an SCA 194 deluxe elevating roof to suit the families needs.

Originally a factory Kombi the vehicle allowed for 5 persons to travel within the vehicle, however now with the conversion specification including a RIB 112cm this only allows for 2 persons to travel in the rear, therefore the original 1st row passenger comfort seat was exchanged for a passenger double bench with a swivel bench both to allow for that extra seat.

This was another family to purchase the Vango GALLI ‘RSV’ – (LOW) unique pre-bend AirBeam® awning, allowing for extra storage & sleeping space when camping. There are subtle upgrades throughout the vehicle that will assist with the overall experience for this family, from a AVtex 18.5″ L187DR LED TV/DVD for the children, and externally just for Dad & Grandad a set of VW T6 18″ SPORTLINE Alloy Wheels with Eibach 30mm Lowering springs.
