In 2013 the Martin’s purchased a VW T5 LWB Factory Sportline Kombi, having used the vehicle for the last 4 years as a daily drive and passenger carrier. Early 2017 brought thoughts of a new vehicle, however with minimal mileage and a great specification of base van a new transporter wasn’t the ideal route for this family. After some research it was decided to give their daily drive a new lease of life with an NWCC conversion.

Stepping away from the dated 2013 Sportline upholstery the interior now has a clean fresh look with the VW T6 Caravelle seating; In house at NWCC the original 1st row seating was re-upholstered to coincide with the rear seating configuration.

Instead of investing in a brand new T6 the Martin’s have invested into their T5 to upgrade all aspects of the vehicle above and beyond a standard specification of base van. Adding to the standard Spotline exterior the addition of VW T5 (GP) Front Bumper DRL’s and a VW T5 Front Bumper – Lower Grille Streamer complete the front end.

As the vehicle is not only a daily drive but a ‘big boy’s toy’ for Mr Martin, a brand new MK7 flat bottom (Multifunction) steering wheel is now at his hands as he drives about town. To aid with navigation and audio the Kenwood DNX516DABS HeadUnit with reverse camera has been installed.

The look of this vehicle is now completely different from its original state; with a luxury interior conversion including genuine alcantara detailing throughout the headlining and upholstery, to having a full exterior paint correction and seal to bring the vehicle back to its original OEM appearance.
