The Morgan’s VW T6 Traditional ‘Lux’ Camper conversion
The Morgans contacted team NWCC during the cold winter months of 2016, arranging a consultation with us in late November. A base vehicle purchase was completed with our in house assistance and to secure a vehicle ahead of Volkswagen increasing the price of all new vehicles by 3% effective from 1st December 2016, the Morgans had a little wait after the delivery of their vehicle prior to its scheduled conversion date.
Delivery of the vehicle took place in March 2017, the alloy wheels were changed to the Morgan’s preferred alloy of choice the VW Toluca 18” Alloy wheel. This was the beginning of the exterior customising of the van.
The build of choice for the Morgan’s was NWCC’s Traditional Lux Camper Conversion, as with most client builds the specification was added to and customised to suit the individual requirements of this couple. The specification of the Traditional Lux conversion had changed slightly from when the couple originally visited with new product now included. With every conversion that takes place in house the team are forever developing and wanting to perfect the build that little bit more.
The full list of the specification of the Traditional Lux is available HERE.
The exterior changes to the vehicle massively set it aside from the standard ‘Highline’ exterior. Subtle changes to the front of the vehicle with Gloss Black detailing to the front bumper fog light trims, front Bumper lower grills and wing mirror mounts, surround bezels & lover caps, this all makes a huge impact, the vehicle looks stylish, classy and still OEM. The upgrades of the chrome detailing to the front bumper lower grille, indicator side repeaters and replacement Caravelle top grill finish off the front perfectly.
Other additions externally were practical upgrades, with Genuine VW side bars, a VW tailgate bike rack, and Fiamma F4S awning all suited to the requirements of the couple and for the purposes of their vehicle and the lifestyle they want to achieve.
Internally the vehicle reflects perfectly the colour scheme of the exterior of the vehicle. The cherry red of the T6 is reflected in the GTI fabric incorporated within the centre of the BR Black Nappa leather upholstery. The OEM grey plastic components of the T6 sit well against the silver and grey colouring of the conversion fixtures and fittings, with additional Alcantara upgrades to complete a luxurious interior finish.
This really is a fantastic vehicle with both the exterior & interior complementing one another.
