The Nicholas’ VW T5 Lining & Exterior Conversion

The Nicholas’ VW T5 Lining & Exterior Conversion

NWCC return for 2018 with the first of their scheduled builds.

The Nicholas family purchased themselves one of the last of the VW T5 Sportline’s. Having owned the vehicle for a few months they had got to grips with ‘Van Life’ and knew what they wanted to make their vehicle more comfortable as a daily drive and suitable for the odd over night stop, or afternoon out.

This vehicle boasts NWCC’s full interior lining conversion which not only enhances the vehicle interior it also aids with killing road noise. The luxurious genuine Alcantara headlining within the front cab follows through into the rear with a slatted effect for extra detail.

The OEM Sportline was missing one element; For a period of time these production line specifications didn’t include lowering springs, therefore a set of 30mm Eibach lowering springs were added whilst in house at NWCC, along with a spare wheel & carrier which also wasn’t originally supplied with the vehicle. Every family has a different use for their VW Transporter, and the addition of the Westifalia removable tow bar gives the the added benefit of towing a caravan, additional vehicle or trailer.

Opting to include electric components as apart of a lining conversion is becoming more popular; Audio components are a near enough must with every build. The addition of rear speakers aids with the sound clarity throughout the vehicle. Including under chassis leisure batteries and 240v hook up allows complete versatility making this a real multi-use vehicle, whilst also maintaining a spacious and comfortable daily driver.
