Purchasing a used VWT5 (SWB) Panel Van, AWL Swansea initially completed some restoration works ahead of the scheduled build in house at NWCC. Working out of the UK meant a lot of emailing to confirm the exact specification required by this client. Initially enquiring about a simple lining conversion and installation of a seat/bed system, This is now an example of ‘Where do you stop?’ A premium lining conversion within along with complete upholstery upgrade, RIB 150cm full width Seat/Bed system as well as electrical upgrades and exterior modifications.

Thankfully a great supporter of Team NWCC, our logo is proudly de-bossed within the 1st and 2nd seating. Having spent a lengthily time looking throughout the NWCC galleries online and discussing options in house as apart of a client consultation, the end result was incorporating a two-tone / textured upholstery upgrade. Opting for a gorgeous premium Bentley Damson leather with a contrasting berry coloured stitch to coincide with the tartan upholstered centre sections. This upholstery was even incorporated in the replacement Caravelle door cards. You can always go that extra mile within your build if you want to; Incorporating matching Alcantara upholstered Sun-visors was a great addition to this interior completing the final look of the headlining.

For practicality, The conversion incorporates two 44-amp Hour leisure batteries located under chassis & an Intelligent split charge relay; All to support the electric sockets located throughout the vehicle for charging accessories ie. iPad, Laptop Etc… The audio has been unhanded with The Ultimate Focal Audio Package which includes, Focal ‘PS165F′ Front Speakers & Tweeters, Focal ‘PC165F′ Rear Speakers and a Focal ‘FD 4.350’ Ultra Compact 4-CHANNEL Amplifier.

Externally this vehicle is a great example of how you can upgrade the appearance of a vehicle with genuine VW product as well as recognised branded products, opting to add the few accessories that however make a huge impact. The jaw dropping BBS 20″ CI-R Split-Spoke (Satin Platinum with Stainless Rim Protector) Alloy Wheels have massive road presence. The complete T5.1 and Sportline front end changes along with the Forge Motor Sport Big Brake kit really set this van aside from the standard road user.
