VW T6.1 Verso Conversion
‘The devil is in the details’… a phrase coined by the masses yet one that remains at the
core of the NWCC values.
With a reputation built on attention to detail and craftsmanship, we’ve always looked at
innovative ways to progress our builds to the next level.
For Mr M, the T6.1 Verso conversion was his ultimate vehicle; something he could take
away for weekends surfing, comfortable on long drives but also a vehicle with undeniable
road presence.
Of course we’re a little biased, but we believe our Verso conversion is the perfect daily
adventure vehicle: balancing comfort and practicality with a generous helping of luxury for
good measure!
“For me, the base specification is just right… I wouldn’t change a thing!” declares Mr M in
his initial build consultation, “But how do I make my Verso stand out from the crowd
without drawing too much attention?”
Mike suggests rainbow top stitch upholstery; a subtle interior modification and staple of the
signature touches offered at our in-house upholstery facility. If you know, you know!
Mr M opts for a Storm SWB Poptop as part of his dream van… another touch that we all
agree is an excellent addition to the build. We love using the Storm system; it offers great
value with exceptional quality and a five year warranty. Above all, their roofs are
manufactured in Bristol and for this we’re incredibly proud to support British industry!
A Webasto diesel heater is also added onto the build sheet; an absolute must-have for
winter days spent surfing at the Gower.
Keeping the entire van in check is the Votronic 12v control centre; a part of the van Mike describes as the ‘brain behind the conversion’.
“When we designed the Verso, it was important for us to use only the BEST of the best. For us, the Votronic system was a no-brainier. We use the Votronic battery charger and Green power battery all directed by the awesome VPC control panel! This goes into every Verso we build, and makes van operation for the end user completely seamless!”
The build progresses quickly and smoothly and collection day quickly comes around. As
usual, the van’s journey finished will a full detail and prep at our local trusted detailers;
Slug Vehicle Graphics.
It’s safe to say that Mr M was over the moon with his build, in
particular the bespoke rainbow topstitched upholstery, “the icing on the cake!”.
We can’t wait to see the surfing adventures Mr M embarks upon in his new Verso, both in
the UK and abroad
